Two New Books...

For the Christian...

As Chaplain of The Christian Gamers Guild, M. Joseph Young undertook to write a monthly column addressing issues related to Christian faith and role playing games--from the arguments raised against them to the ways to bring faith into games to what can be learned through play.  This invaluable resource has been a cornerstone of the Guild's ministry, and has identified its chaplain as one of the leading Christians in the role playing game world.

Now all forty-nine articles have been compiled into a single perfect-bound print volume, becoming a convenient reference for your shelf, or a gift for those more likely to consider a truly Christian position on role playing games in printed form than as Internet pages.  At $16.95, this is a must-have book for every Christian gamer, every Christian who wants to understand gaming, and every gamer who wants his Christian friends or family to understand what he is doing.

This book is available through publisher Lulu.com (this link will take you to an information page on the Lulu site from which the book can be ordered) or from select retailers.  It is available in paperback and as a PDF file downloadable over the World Wide Web.  Get your copy now.

For the Gamer...

In June 2001, Gaming Outpost commissioned a weekly column from Multiverser creator M. Joseph Young, exploring creativity within the context of role playing games.  Under the title Game Ideas Unlimited, the series ran for almost four years, over two hundred entries, exploring science fiction, fantasy, game mechanics, game theory, characters, referee techniques, world design, and more.

Valdron Inc has decided to bring this Internet series into the homes of gamers in print form.  Teaming with Cafe Press to deliver quality print-on-demand perfect bound volumes direct to the buyer, the publisher has compiled the first six months of the series into this first volume--twenty six articles exploring such varied subjects as matter transmitters, illusionism, thought processes, superstition, description, and more.

This book is available through Valdron's Game Ideas Cafe Press store (this link will take you to an information page on the Cafe Press site from which the book can be ordered) or from select retailers.  It is available in paperback, in comic book size.  Get your copy now.
